MP: Give us a 60-second commercial about you. Single? Married? Kids?

I absolutely adore being a stay-at-home mom to two boys, and feel truly blessed to be such an influential figure in their lives. Family life has taught my husband and me the pure magic of taking care of two precious little beings who depend on us for everything, and whom we have come to depend on for the spice of life.

MP: Where has life taken you? College? Jobs? Travel?

After graduating from Penn State University, I headed out to Crested Butte, Colo., where I was a ski instructor for two years. It was there that I met my husband; thank you, Crested Butte! Thereafter, I worked as a human resources recruiter in wireless telecommunications until my husband’s work took us both to Europe. We came back to the U.S. with the best souvenir of all, a baby boy born in Munich, Germany.

MP: What is your current mom-mobile? What do you like best and least about it?

My current mom-mobile is a Toyota 4Runner. I love the fact that this manageable SUV makes it simple to get around, whether driving in the mountains or in the city. The thing I like least about the 4Runner is the driver’s seat. If I’m driving long distances, I get a very uncomfortable sensation in my upper right leg; when I get out, I look like I’ve just had a hip replacement. That’s not exactly what I have in mind when going out for a big night on the town.

MP: What is your dream-mobile?

My dream-mobile is just about any convertible. It must have something to do with my love for windsurfing, with the wind rushing through my hair and the sun kissing my face. The only problem is arriving at my destination and having to do some serious detangling to keep from looking like an attractive nesting site for a passing bird.

MP: What is your favorite downtime activity?

A long, luxurious bubble bath with candlelight and a glass of wine.

MP: Can you share your tips for surviving motherhood?

Bubble baths and naps. Need I say more?

MP: What do you love about being a mom?

When my sons look at me as though I am the sun on a rainy day.

MP: What is your vice or weak point?

Coffee and chocolate. I know they’re bad, but life without them would be oh so wrong.

MP: If you could be anywhere right now besides sitting in front of the computer writing this, where would you be?

Getting a massage at the water’s edge on an island in the Pacific, listening to the rhythmic sound of the ocean while enveloped in scents of lavender and bergamot, embraced by the subtle glow of candlelight.
